title-less.

First post in....well....seems like forever. As per usual I don't have a particularly good reasoning, rather I've just been busy doing...well...you know...life stuff. I'll blame university, because that always seems like some form of tangible excuse. right? I don't really have anything interesting to say - really defeats the purpose of 'blogging' per'say. So i'll just leave you with a photograph, maybe this post will entice me to write others - perhaps not. My current obsessions are; 70s' vases, and stolen flowers. Love Jessica-rose.

scrabble afternoons.

In the end, every piece made the board.
*insert something about a lovely afternoon*

wow.

I haven't seen my boyfriend in three days, university + work has kept us in state of distance. I've even had to go out and purchase an electric blanket, because I don't like sleeping alone. I think Bodie looks' like a massive geek in the photograph, and utterly adorable, as always. I also like the fact that the shirt he is wearing I've stolen. We always clothes swap.

love(d).

I liked my new shoes, alot, until I found out that they are, in-fact, the exact same ones I forced my boyfriend into purchasing last week. Now, I like them a-lot-more. I mean, what are the chances of finding two pairs of 1970 Julius Marlows' thrifting over a week span? Sometimes, all the time, I think that there too many strange co-incidences between my partner and I. On a completely unrelated note, I have two dots on my tongue they've been there since I was born, they are strange don't you think?

On tour.

My boyfriends' band is on tour atm. We're both pretty pathetic without each other, so when I told him I wasn't going to come and that I'd take the time to visit one of my girlfriends' that lives in Canberra. Well, it didn't take much convincing on his part to entice me to join. For starters I love Melbourne, and I gotta admit, I really have only missed one of their shows and totally have so much fun watching him play. I can't help but feel so much more smitten that my boyfriend didn't like the idea of going on tour without me. I'm taking one of my best girlfriends down with me, Ash, basically because she is totally crazy fun! + well a girl needs a shopping partner, (+ a drinking partner amiright?) right

Indulgence of ones self.

I never spend more than $10 on clothing, community thrift stores is where 80% of my clothing comes from with the other 20% being more expensive thrift shops, such as the salvos, etc. I don't generally like new clothing, sales people, branded objects, or shopping arcades. So, this is quite a strange affair that I've gone out and coincidently spent an arm + a leg on a labelled dress. Admittedly, I was driving down the mainstreet near where I live and spotted this baby in the shop window where I almost immediately did a u-turn for a second perve. I wasn't really thinking when I then stopped the car, parked, walked in and was affirmed with what I already knew, it was a wheels + doll baby dress and 'holy-fucking' expensive. I'm not easily persuaded by people working in sales, but when the lady told me to try it on, well, that's all it took. Is it bad that I am justifying this purchase to that I'll wear it to a friends' wedding that isn't until November?  From now on I am concentrating on the road when driving.

Ok, so I'm likely the most impatient person you'll come across. Well, really it depends on the situation per se' and if I'm hungry, or tired, or both (watch out!). I guess I'm pretty lucky that my boyfriend so happens to think it's a cute quality of mine, and tends to tease me about it so that I snap out of it pretty quickly. So we made Eurovision zines two weeks ago as part of a group zine'making thing that Sticky (http://www.stickyinstitute.com/) organized. Where we each got given a country to cover, and make a zine about, over a period of three days then we had to make copies for everyone who participated (38ppl) post them to Sticky, whom collects them all then posts  the goodies to us. Well, I'm still waiting by my letterbox, a few people got slack and didn't send them in by the due date so we're all awaiting by our letterboxes, *sighz*.  As for the Pink Royal, well it's my dream typewriter, I've found two for sale but they are very fucking-pensive. But, I can't stop thinking about owning one. Ah, shit.

Our latest adoption.

Yesterday Bodie + I were taking off location photo-shoots' for one of my assignments when we drove past an antique store neither of us had seen before, in a moments hesitation we decided to go have a quick rummage. It was love at first type, as we both held our breathes in anticipation as to how much this beauty was going to set us back. The shop owner, who was absolutely lovely, offered it to us for $50, in which I offered him $40 (no price in a vintage shop is the last price). We sort of felt bad, in that we knew He obviously had no idea to the value of this mint condition Royal he had just sold us for pittance (they're worth around $500 US). We're signing a prenup over this one.

bikeclubz

Today, Bodie + I went council clean-up looking because yesterday while we were driving to Sydney I seen a pile of bikes sitting out the front of a house begging to be rescued. By the time we got to the house someone had beaten us there, so we decided on driving around and seeing if we could find any other treasures. At a particular house we found 3 bikes, and ended up taking two of them home. Mine was filthy, and under the appearance to be riddled with rust, so much so that I didn't know if I could fix it. We got home and with a little hose, and a wet cloth, under all the brown filth was a beauty of a bike. I'm planning on painting and repairing a few parts, while completely replacing others (new basket! new bell! new seat!), so this should keep me busy over the next few weeks. Bodie found a race bike, which has the most perfect frame for a low rider, his requires alot more work than mine, but that's ok because if he could fix our 1950s' Remington typewriter - he can fix anything! I can't wait to go on date bike-rides with my love

obsessing.

When my boyfriend and I first met it was like an explosion of similarities erupted onto once lonely obsessions. We found that we shared not only strange convergent evolutions (such as holding our pens in the same incorrect apparatus), but that we indeed partook in the same adulations. I think since the day we first met we set on a quest, a quest to obtain as many typewriters, as possible, to feed our inclination to over obsession. Here are a few of our children, i'll take some more photographs of others soon, I pinky, prooooooomise.
